Salaza does not create any account and never sends personal data to our servers. Everything the app stores — your location, calculation method, per-prayer corrections, adhān sounds and volume, prayer log, personal dhikr, adhkār progress, language and theme — is saved only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We, as the publisher, collect nothing and can read nothing.
Prayer times and the direction of the Kaaba depend on where you are, so the app asks for approximate location. That position is used on the device to compute the times and the qibla bearing, and it is stored on the device so the app works offline. It is never sent to us and never shared with a third party by the app.
You are not obliged to grant the permission: you can pick a city from the built-in list of 13,329 towns, or type a latitude and longitude by hand, and the app works exactly the same. A location you choose yourself is never replaced by GPS.
Prayer times, the qibla, the Hijri calendar, the adhkār, the duʿāʾ and the tasbih are computed and stored on the device. Salaza has no server of its own, no account and no synchronisation. The only network traffic the app produces is advertising (see below).
The app can export a backup file (.salaza) and hand it to the sharing menu of your phone. What happens next is entirely your choice: the destination — a cloud drive, a messaging app, local storage — is picked by you, and DoliMarketPlace receives no copy. Files you import are read on the device only.
The call to prayer, the iqāma reminder, the night-prayer reminder and the Friday reminder are scheduled and played locally on your device. No content is transmitted to a third party, and no push server is involved.
The app displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data in order to serve and measure ads. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us. See Google advertising technologies and the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising is never shown on the adhkār, the duʿāʾ, the tasbih or the qibla screens, nor while the adhān is playing, nor when you open the app.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form is shown before any personalised advertising. You can reopen it at any time from Settings → Advertising choices.
The app is not directed to children under 13.
You can delete all your data by uninstalling the app, or by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings. Because nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to delete, and no request to make to us.
