What Rekaza does, and what that means for your data

Rekaza is a screen recorder and video editor for Android. It records what is shown on your screen, optionally with the sound of your device, your microphone and your front or back camera, and lets you trim, crop, rotate, speed up, compress, merge and share the result. All of this happens on your device, and only on your device. Rekaza has no server of its own, no account system and no cloud storage. DoliMarketPlace never receives your recordings, your screenshots, your voice or your camera image.

No account, nothing paid

Rekaza never asks you to create an account or to sign in. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase: every feature is free, with no time limit and no watermark. Advertising pays for the app. Ads are never shown at launch, nor before, during or right after a recording.

What Rekaza records, and when

Screen capture starts only after you confirm Android’s own screen-sharing dialog, and stops when you press Stop (in the app, the floating bubble, the notification or the Quick Settings tile) or when Android ends the session. While a recording is running, Android shows a permanent indicator. Protected content (for example payment screens) is hidden by Android and is recorded as a black area.

• Device sound is captured only if you choose “Device sound” or “Device + mic”, and only from apps that allow it.
• Microphone sound is captured only if you choose “Microphone” or “Device + mic”, and only while a recording is running. The optional microphone test in the settings shows a level meter and records nothing.
• Camera images are used only for the face cam you switch on yourself; they are drawn on screen and become part of your video. No photo or video is taken by the camera separately.

Where your files are stored

Recordings, screenshots and extracted audio are saved on your phone: in your gallery (folders Movies/Rekaza, Pictures/Rekaza and Music/Rekaza) or, if you switch off “Save to gallery”, in Rekaza’s private storage, which is erased when you uninstall the app. While a recording is in progress, a temporary file is written in Rekaza’s private storage so that the video can be recovered if the app is closed unexpectedly. Your settings are stored on the device as well. Nothing is uploaded.

Files you choose to share

When you use Share or Open with, the file goes only to the app you pick, through Android’s own sharing menu. Rekaza does not upload it anywhere and keeps no copy elsewhere.

Permissions

Rekaza requests: screen capture (asked each time by Android), microphone (for device sound and your voice), camera (only for the face cam), display over other apps (for the floating bubble, the brush, the face cam and the countdown), notifications (timer and controls), a foreground service (so Android does not stop long recordings), an optional exemption from battery optimisation, vibration, and internet access (used only to fetch advertising). Each permission is asked when the feature that needs it is used. Rekaza does not request access to your contacts, location, SMS, call log, or to the photos and videos made by other apps.

Advertising

Rekaza shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To do so, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share: your device’s advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, in-app interaction events, and diagnostic information such as crash reports. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Rekaza asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Children

Rekaza is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

Because your recordings never leave your device unless you share them, their protection relies on your phone’s own security (screen lock, encryption). Delete a file from Rekaza or from your gallery to remove it from the device.

Your rights

You can delete any recording from Rekaza, clear the app’s data in your phone’s settings, or uninstall the app. Since DoliMarketPlace holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to request from us; for advertising data, see Google’s links above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
